Almabtrieb
The Almabtrieb is a tradition that has existed for centuries, in which farmers organize a colorful festival for an accident-free summer thank you. To ensure that the summers remain peaceful in the future, the animals have their loud bells around their necks: These help the farmer to find the animals on the mountain pasture in all weathers and guide the animals safely on their way down the mountain pasture into the village.
The farmers' families joyfully await the safe arrival of the decorated animals: they too dress up pretty with dirndls and Sunday costumes. On this day, the most delicious regional specialties such as donuts, fresh milk, alpine cheese, farmer's bacon and fragrant bread are prepared. With music and entertainment, it all ends in a cheerful folk festival - a spectacle of smells, sounds and colors.
